Orangemen And Civil Rights

Sir, - I see that moves are afoot inside the Orange Order to discipline Mr David Trimble and another senior Unionist politician for attending a funeral Mass last August for victims of the Omagh bomb (The Irish Times, December 12th).

I wonder if this Orange Order is by any chance related to the cultural organisation of the same name whose civil rights are being denied by the nationalist bigots of the Garvaghy Road in Portadown.

I think we should be told.
