Sir, – I just used Irish Rail’s on line booking facility for return journey to Muine Bheag and was surprised by the bizarre instruction: “Please take your seat 20 minutes in advance of departure”.
This presents the practical difficulty of my seat being somewhere around Kilkenny City while I’m on the platform at Muine Bheag.
