No 'quick fixes' for Catholics

Madam, - Carol Coulter (Opinion, January 31st) presents a rather superficial picture of Catholic religious faith. Anyone sincerely seeking a better life for themselves and the world around them will not be just "turning up at Mass now and then".

An exercise regime requires hard work over a long time. So also, coming back to Jesus Christ means really celebrating Mass and the sacraments, listening to the word of God and seeking out Christians whose way of life we admire. There's no "quick fix": only by changing oneself can one hope to change society. - Yours, etc.,
