Sir, - On a recent first visit to The National Museum, Collins Barracks, I found no parking facilities. This is totally unacceptable, especially given the fact that the former "Royal Barracks" was the largest of its kind, when built around the year 1700.
Had a private concern set up this museum, it would never have obtained planning permission without providing adequate car parking spaces. On this issue, it seems to me that one law applies to the State, and another to the rest of us. - Yours, etc., Drostan Grant
