Madam, – Every day I travel to and from school on the Dart. Last year I turned 16, and have since been paying adult fares. It seems that on the Dart at 16, I am an adult. However, if I’d gone to a polling station last week I would have been told I couldn’t vote because I am still a child. Adult Dart tickets cost more than twice that of a child and I simply cannot afford them. How about student single and return tickets for 16- to 18-year-olds?
If that doesn’t happen, I’m resolving to own my own car as soon as possible. With talk of climate change, I’m not sure this is the direction my Government ought to be pushing me. – Yours, etc,
