Sir, - Here at Arthouse, we were very flattered to read that Patsy McGarry believed that the images from the New York Philharmonic's concert at the National Concert Hall showing at Meeting House Square, Temple Bar were transmitted by satellite (August 14th).
Arthouse facilitated the concert transmission for Temple Bar Properties, and rather than the images and audio being beamed down by a satellite thousands of miles away, they were transmitted under the streets via ISDN type telephone lines to Arthouse, a few yards away from Meeting House Square. The success of this transmission was confirmed by the response of Mr McGarry and others, and we look forward to being involved in events of this nature again. - Yours, etc.
