Merrion Square garden

Madam, - In an article by Frank McDonald in your Property section of April 10th, Mr Dermot Desmond is quoted as saying that his garden at 71 Merrion Square is the only intact garden that survives on the south side of the Square.

This is incorrect.

There is a fully intact garden, tended for many years by the resident caretaker, at 63 Merrion Square, the premises of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland. - Yours etc.,
