Sir, - Regarding the advertising industry special report (July 24th) your reporter Hugh Oram states: "The entire market for advertising is likely to be worth well over £300 million, according to the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland . . ."
Advertising Statistics Ireland are the sole providers of industry accepted advertising estimates. In our press release dated January 24th, we stated: "Present indicators suggest the economy will experience further significant growth this year. If this proves so, advertising investment of c.IR£300m. in 1996 is on the cards."
