Madam, – If results go up, it’s a dumbed down exam. If they go down, it’s a threat to our high-tech industry. Is there any way the Leaving Cert results can come out that doesn’t result in a bad news story?
Perhaps letting the Department of Education get on with the job in peace would be the best thing for our economy? – Yours, etc,
A chara, – Every August we get the same old agonising about the poor maths results in the Leaving Certificate.
Maybe some year soon the whizz kids in the Department of Education will see some connection between the undue emphasis they put on our poor beautiful dead language and this phenomenon. – Is mise,
Madam, – Why can’t the Department of Education show the CAO points gained by each Leaving Certificate student on their results certificate?
With nerves and excitement on the morning of publication many students are prone to miscalculating their points obtained. – Yours, etc,
