LITTER CRISIS

Sir, No point blaming plastic bags, cartons, fertiliser bags, etc (letter, September 23rd) for our litter crisis. The crisis is caused by the citizens of Ireland who dispose of their litter wherever they happen to be on the city pavement, out of the car window, over the hedge, on the beach.

We Irish people are the sole cause of our litter crisis.
