Sir, - The analogy drawn between suicide and abortion by Andrew Rynne (November 22nd) seems unclear. He confuses the issue by claiming never to have met anybody "in favour" of suicide or abortion, when obviously it is the right to suicide or abortion that is in question.
Both do involve the ending of life. Both may well be innate to human behaviour. However, tellingly, Dr Rynne fails to point out that one may take one's life by choice - a fact which doesn't apply to abortion. - Yours, etc.,
