A chara, - The Dublin Government has given its full support in the Good Friday Agreement for the demand that the Irish language should be available to those in the North of Ireland who wish to deal with the Assembly in that language. Today I rang Brainse Logainmneacha na Suirbheireachta Ordanais/the Placenames Section of the Ordnance Survey. Here is probably the greatest concentration of Irish scholars in any Government department, but when I spoke in Irish - as I always do - I got the response "I don't speak Gaelic". - Is mise, Flann O Riain,
