Madam, - "Cost of insuring property set to rise" was your front page headline on December 30th. This is on top of the massive increases on people's household insurance at their most recent renewals.
The insurance industry spokesman's knee-jerk response is the mantra about Government tackling "the high legal costs associated with claims". But there are usually no legal costs whatsoever associated with household insurance claims.
In the parallel universe of insurance industry propaganda - where practically everything wrong must be blamed on high legal costs - are lawyers now responsible also for the bad weather? - Yours, etc.,
