Madam, - Breda McGann (January 7th) is incorrect to suppose that Jesus Christ was "a perfect clone of His mother Mary". A clone is genetically identical to its parent - the stem-cell donor - and is therefore of the same sex. In other words to be a clone of Mary, Jesus would have to have been a woman, which was manifestly not the case. - Yours, etc.,
