Madam, – While I agree with the bulk of what Noel Whelan says (Opinion, November 21st), regarding the need for a formal study of how TDs spend their time, I wonder if the point is being missed? Unless, and until a formal job description exists both for TDs and for Ministers then there is no objective method of assessing their performance. Can anybody tell me where I can find such job descriptions? Yours, etc,
