May I offer this piece of useless information by way of trivial addendum?
The word Foehn has become part of everyday language in Germany, and is now a generic term for a commonly used household hot air machine. So, if a visiting German asks you if he may use your Foehn, it does not mean that he wishes to make a telephone call.
