Madam, – Regarding the headshop controversy, some perspective is in order. In round figures, in Ireland every year, smoking kills 7,000 people, alcohol 1,700, cars 250 and drowning 160. Compared to drinking, smoking, driving and swimming, don’t headshops look positively healthy? The Government could save many more lives by focusing on the obvious. – Yours, etc,
