Sir, - It is somewhat ironic that Brian McLaughlin, in his assessment of the Clare constituency, should highlight the innovative and unpredictable voting patterns of the local electorate and then proceed to omit mentioning the Green Party candidate, Brian Meaney. In a constituency with numerous indigenous issues, many of them environmental, only ill-informed political analysis would so readily dismiss the Greens' presence. - Yours, etc.,
