Sir, - Can you confirm that under the McKenna principles established by the Supreme Court last year in respect of the Government's funding of the "Yes Vote" in the divorce referendum, the Government will be prohibited from spending any taxpayers money in promoting a similar "dyes" vote in the expected bail referendum, to be held in November?
If so, how will the Minister for Justice seek to communicate the Government's views to the electorate? And if Mrs Owen uses the broadcasting media, will those who oppose the intended changes to the bail legislation be given equal air time to put their views'? - Yours, etc.,
