Sir, - It is written that some 2,000 years ago, a certain teacher stated: "Give unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's."
In the light of recent revelations, how can certain persons - pillars, we are told, of Irish society - claim to be regarded as Christians?
Surely the plain people of Ireland are entitled to a full examination of these events, or are they expected to emulate too many of our church leaders, adopt the ostrich posture, and say: "There, but for the grace of God. . ?" - Yours, etc.,
C. W. Woodman, Margaret Road, Malahide, Co Dublin.
