Sir, - One envies John McDwyer (August 7th) for having a breakfast table large enough to take the fully spread Irish Times. Obviously a person of means and perspicacity. A pity such wisdom does not extend to the order in which he absorbs your newspaper. The problem of his left-arm tennis elbow would not exist were he to read your esteemed journal, as do I, from back page to front, turning the page with his right hand. This technique has many other more cerebral advantages, most of which have long since been of benefit to us back-to-fronters. - Yours, etc., James McClatchie,
Braemor Road,
Dublin 14.
