Madam, - Today, as every day, the Letters page will be full of complaints about the many deficiencies of modern Ireland. When will the plain people of Ireland realise they have the power to change things for the better, simply by ejecting the current Government at the next election? If the new Government fails to deliver, it too can be sent packing.
If things in Ireland are not as they should be, it is because we accept it as so. In a democracy, you get the government you deserve. - Yours, etc.
Dr ANDREW LEARY, Lismore, Co Waterford.
