Sir, - It is hard to conceive of the magnitude of loss which the Catholic Church in Ireland has sustained in the untimely death of Father Joe Dunn. In his Radharc films and writings, he achieved an honesty and grace that was subtly prophetic. His independence of mind was an inspiration in a Church where currently it is little valued. Some lines of Stephen Spender serve him well;
