Sir, - Congratulations to Sheila Terry (Castleknock); Joan Maher (Howth); Peter Coyle (Malahide); Joe Higgins (Mulhuddart); and Sean Ryan (Swords). They all topped the poll and were the only candidates elected on the first count in their areas for Fingal County Council. In the outgoing council, they all voted for the retention of the Phoenix Park Racecourse lands for amenity purposes.
The only other poll-topper, in Fingal, was David O'Connor (Balbriggan), a new councillor. - Yours, etc.,
