Sir, – It is encouraging that the new Finance Bill acknowledges the link between low taxation and job creation (Home News, February 8th).
Yet why should we aim to make Ireland attractive to international executives and not give tax relief to Irish business people? Are jobs created by multinational firms inherently better than those created by indigenous industries? This is a classic example of crony capitalism whereby the government joins with big business and those without connections are put at a disadvantage. – Yours, etc,
