Madam, – The swift reaction to the RTÉ report on the unauthorised hanging of unflattering pictures of the Taoiseach stands in stark contrast to the muted and lethargic response to the ongoing crises that are engulfing our banking sector and affecting the Government’s ability to borrow.
Fianna Fáil TD Michael Kennedy was first out of the traps to denounce the slightly tongue-in-cheek report by RTÉ and seek a high-profile resignation. It is a pity he has got his priorities so askew and hasn’t called for the removal of more pivotal figures in our current difficulties.
It is equally disappointing that RTÉ seemed to cave in so easily to political pressure. – Yours, etc,
