Sir, – Yes, you are right in your Editorial: President Mary McAleese built bridges along with her husband Martin.
How should we recognise the achievement of these two ambassadors of Ireland? We should finish a bridge that has been started across Carlingford Lough joining North and South close to Mrs McAleese’s home in Rostrevor.
What better symbol than a bridge called the Mc Aleese Bridge jointly funded North and South promoting tourism and bringing together communities? – Yours, etc,
