Sir, - I am a frequent user of Dublin Bus. I travel to and from school every day on the bus, and so do my friends. We sometimes find it hard to have the exact fare for the journey and when a passenger doesn't have the exact fare, with the new system in operation, you are given a slip of paper instead of change.
The only place this can be redeemed is in Dublin Bus, O'Connell Street, which means a double trip into town to collect the change.
I suggest that instead of this system, Dublin Bus should accept the slip of paper as a credit against your next fare. This would make it easier for the passenger and cut down on administration. Dublin Bus must be making a lot of profit on the present system, as it is not worth while to pay two extras fares to collect your change. - Yours, etc.,
