Madam, - The Irish Times of October 17th carried a report entitled "Pakistan lacks the means to tackle disaster on such a scale" by Rahul Bedi, datelined New Delhi, which is biased and unduly critical of Pakistan.
He projects an Indian stand on the Kashmir dispute and tries to distract the world's attention from the tragic earthquake and the resultant tragedy unfolding in the north of Pakistan.
The report only reflects a negative mindset and a hidden agenda.
In another report published in The Irish Times on October 18th, Rahul Bedi refers to the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sikandar Hayat Khan, as "retired Lt General", which is not the case.
Mr Sikandar Hayat is a politician with long years of political service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. - Yours, etc,
