Sir, I'm afraid that the plea of Michael Smith of An Taisce (letters, October 5th) on behalf of Barney Kiernan's has come many years too late. The pub, in Little Britain Street. which is the setting for the Cyclops episode in Joyce's Ulysses. has long since vanished.
