Sir, - I write regarding your report, of September 8th, and the Disability Federation's demand for extra finding for people, with physical and sensory disabilities.
Every year in the Eastern Health Board area alone, up to 300 people acquire a moderate/ severe brain injury resulting in serious medical, family, employment and financial consequences. This hidden epidemic is increasing, and adequate services have never been in place.
In this time of relative prosperity, the Government should act to put into place services to support individuals and their families faced with a disability. - Yours, etc.,
Director of Services,
