Madam, - For the second time in less than a year, we are seeing the brutal suppression of peaceful demonstrations led by Buddhist monks - whose lives are devoted to peace, compassion and harmony in the world - in Burma and, now, in Tibet.

It is a relief to witness the many official statements of disgust at the brutality of the Chinese authorities in Tibet, where human rights for Tibetan people have been denied and transgressed for 50 years.
