Sir, - It seems that speaking inaccurately about Northern Ireland is becoming widespread among politicians and media-folk in Britain. It appears to have affected even Mr Blair, judging from his recent Sunday Times articles over the last few months.
I have read an increasing number of articles that have contained this error. And an increasing number of politicians from Britain have opened their mouths to display their lack of knowledge on the North of Ireland. I am talking about those who confuse Northern Ireland and Ulster and assume they both refer to the same area of land. As anybody with even a passing interest in the North will tell you, when you refer to Northern Ireland as Ulster you're allocating it an extra three counties. - Yours, etc.,
