Sir - I bought some books in a bookshop in Cork recently. My bill was £13.98, but £1.00 was added to this because I paid by credit card. I was not informed that this charge would be added.

I will not be back to it. I will stick to my usual bookhaunts, where there is no extra charge for using a credit card. Is this sort of practice legal? - Yours, etc.,
