Sir, - On leaving school in 1992 I was faced with a choice: either to enter the market place directly or pursue third level education. I chose the latter in the hope that after years of not earning at all, then years of earning a pittance and finally gaining experience and confidence, I would find myself in a good position to enter the housing market.
It appears I made the wrong choice, and ironically have to consider emigration from a country that apparently needs my skills now, more than ever. - Yours, etc.,
Andrew Dunne, Portmarnock, Co Dublin.
