Sir, - In the Property supplement (July 15th) architectural critic Martin Pawley states that the proposed £75m National Conference Centre will be paid for completely and indefinitely subsidised by the developers, apart from a once-off £26m EU grant.
That is most welcome news to the travel trade, to Dublin's commercial life and the taxpayers. One final guarantee is needed by the public, - that there will be no casinos, no hurdy-gurdies, no slot machines or other crime-inviting activities. - Yours, etc. Michael Mac Coisdealabh,
Goatstown, Dublin 14.
