Sir, - I see the Tanaiste, Mary Harney, has broken the spirit of the Partnership 2000 agreement by taking the decision to axe 10,000 community employment jobs at a time of unprecedented economic growth and prosperity. Her outrageous attack on the poorest and most vulnerable workers in the country must not go unnoticed by rank and file workers when it comes to voting on a new national wage agreement. Many of the workers affected will once again be socially excluded from this so-called Celtic Tiger economy. It's no wonder our trade union leaders have been heavily criticised from within for selling the workers out by agreeing to partnership in the first place. - Yours, etc., Micheal Killeavy,
Clonminch Lane, Tullamore, Co Offaly.
