Sir, - A recent article in The Irish Times Going to College supplement dealt with the issue of bonding among private, third-level colleges. The American College Dublin was not mentioned as one of the bonded colleges and this has given rise to unnecessary concern among parents, students and guidance counsellors.
I would like to point out that, in line with the other private institutes, American College Dublin is fully bonded. This means that students are guaranteed they will be able to finish their course of study in the unlikely event that the college experiences financial difficulty.
I hope this goes some way to allaying the fears of students considering the American College Dublin for their third-level studies. - Yours, etc.,
Francis Kelly,
Head of Admissions,
