Madam, – Jim Deegan writes that tourism can help us on the road to recovery (Business This Week, April 23rd). But that can’t happen in this part of Donegal (Rathmullen/ Milford/ Ramelton) while the road sides are littered with rubbish.
This problem seems to be on the increase, in my opinion because there is a lack of will on the part of local authorities to face up to the problem – also because of the offenders’ sheer lack of pride in their country.
There is another road to recovery required here before we can talk of entertaining a rise in tourism. – Yours, etc,
