Sir, Your editorial "Catholic Hospitals", in today's Irish Times (September 4th) was predictable. When Dr. Connell or indeed any Catholic bishop makes a public statement, we may expect an immediate acerbic riposte from The Irish Times.
The anti Catholic propaganda campaign of The Irish Times is conducted under the guise of liberalism and pluralism. In reality, of course, it has far deeper roots.
Most people believe that sectarianism was banished from every where in the European Union except Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, it is still alive and well in D'Olier Street. Yours, etc., Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk.
