Sir, In a reply (May 9th) to my recent letter highlighting unacceptable behaviour by reputed professionals in the Dublin property market, Noel Whelan, Fianna Fail Candidate Dublin South East, converts the issue and my name to a political football.
Announced or not, we all know that there is an election in the air when politicians will do anything to get their names in the paper. It is hoped that the letters page in your esteemed journal is not to be cluttered up with politicians' inane observations for the next few weeks; they have the remainder of the paper to carry their views. Where are they when there is no election in sight?
This is a serious subject, and I respectfully suggest that Mr Whelan jump on somebody else's bandwagon. Disgruntled fellow citizens are welcome to join mine. Welcome Mr O'Connell (May 9th). - Yours etc.,
(Not an Election Candidate) Merton Drive, Dublin 6
