BUS TRAVELLER BLUES

Madam, - I would suggest that smoking bus drivers might not hear the smoke alarrm suggested by Damien Gardner (January 23rd). Recently, I and my two heavy suitcases, were taken way beyond my requested stop. I heard the bell, the driver did not - his radio was too loud! Am I the only traveller to dislike the ubiquitous "music" and claptrap played on almost every public bus and coach? - Yours, etc.,
