Sir, – There is an old French expression “plus ça change, plus c’est la meme chose” (the more things change, the more they remain the same).
This year Stormont is celebrating the centenary of its coming into being. On the occasion of its golden jubilee in the early 1970s it was brought down by nationalist extremists lead by the Provisional IRA.
Now in its centenary year it seems it is about to be brought down again, this time by unionist extremists lead by the DUP.
Reviewing that scenario it must be conceded that all in all Stormont must be seen as a very inclusive place.
