Sir, – I am horrified to read about the shooting of Malala Yousafzai in the Swat Valley area of Pakistan. This young, brave, intelligent and fearless young lady has shown us all the true meaning of selfless determination.
Imagine standing up to a force as powerful as the Taliban to promote education and equality for young females in Pakistan.
When cartoons, films and books can bring thousands of Muslims on to the streets of Benghazi, Sanaa, Tunis and many more cities to protest about insults to Muhammad and other prophets, I hope a similar response will happen in support of this amazing young lady.
I doubt that such protests will occur. Please God or Allah she will survive. – Yours, etc,
