Sir, – As a cyclist I share the joy of your Editorial “Bicycle Boom” (May 23rd).
I note your concern for the safety of hikers on woodland trails as “cyclists moving at speed can pose a hazard”. The apparent abdication by all authorities for the safety of pedestrians on our city footpaths, walkways and streets from cyclists, helmeted and illuminated for their own safety, is also a matter of great concern. – Yours, etc,
