Sir, - It is amazing that with all the moo and bull over Mad Cow Disease there isn't a squawk about the poxed chickens. Almost all supermarket chickens at the moment appear to have measles or pox like spots on their flesh.
On inquiring at Dunnes Stores, Superquinn and Quinnsworth I've been told, amongst other things, by floor staff, spots could he due to (a) the plucking machine (b) something in transit, and (c) sure don't all chickens have spots!
I am old enough to remember spotless chickens! Is anybody worried? - Yours, etc.,
