Sir, - Now is the time to forget about the Beef Tribunal and that auld EU fine.
The Irish beef industry is on the crest of the wave and looking whiter than white and we are told its products are already replacing their British and European counterparts on supermarket shelves all over Britain and Europe.
We should now make the whole of Ireland and our coastline one huge organic farm from which all artificial foodstuffs, pesticides and fertilisers are banned.
Our produce would be in demand all over the world and we could become a rich and prosperous country and maybe even a united one. - Yours, etc.,
