Sir, - My letter of February 3rd seeking information and material on the Irish barristers who fell in the Great War elicited a large response from individuals and organisations. Some people thanked me for remembering their forgotten family members and comrades. One quoted an apt phrase of remembrance: "Let those who come after see that his name is not forgotten."
The overwhelming response encourages me to pursue my project and to record for publication the stories of the members of the Irish Bar killed in the war. Any further data, especially copies of service records and photographs plus facts about relevant legal careers, would be most welcome. I propose to write individually to all correspondents. Meanwhile, may I assure them that their interest and information are very much appreciated. - Yours, etc., Anthony P. Quinn,
