Sir, - Throughout the war in Kosovo, RTE jumped on every opportunity to show that, in its view, the Americans were the bad guys. Those decent chaps in Serbia were being blamed in the wrong and were being subjected to brutal treatment by the US and their unsavoury allies.
Now the British TV programme Panorama has exposed the Serbs beyond doubt as sadistic murderers on a large scale. Eddie Holt has done a service in drawing attention to the "kindly" Milosovic and his dreadful friends.
Might I suggest that RTE shows the TV film to those of their staff who insist that the ills of the world start in Washington?
Then, in September, when the viewing public has returned from the beaches, the expose of Serbia should be shown in the morning and in the evening. It might even serve as a wake-up call in the Department of Foreign Affairs for whom, in certain circumstances, the world ends in Lucan. - Yours, etc.,
