Apple In Cork

Sir, - Your correspondent Des Corbett makes the point that the Irish Government does not support Apple Computers in its own purchases.

I work for the Western Health Board and have always used Apple computers personally. In my experience, not alone do my employers not support the Apple platform, but they actively discourage it. With considerable difficulty, I managed to achieve the purchase of two Power PCs for our department some years ago, but there is still little tolerance for this platform.
